Photoshop CS2 Tips/Tricks (Photo to Charcoal Sketch)

Here is a Photshop CS2 trick on converting your photo to a charcoal sketch inspired by my favorite Photoshop Artist who won the PhotoshopWorld contest.

This is from Peyupi.com (I'm a
member) latest EB.

Let's use PrettySay and BlueVodka
as our subject.

Duplicate the layer (from the Layer
Window) by clicking the New Layer
icon below or use the shortcut key
Ctrl-J for the PC, Command-J for the Mac.

Click Layer 1 (from the Layer
Window).

From the menu, click Image ->
Desaturate to strip the photo of
its color.

It should look like this.

Duplicate Layer 1 by clicking the
New Layer Icon below or using
the shortcut key Ctrl-J for the PC,
Command-J for the Mac.

Click the Layer 1 Copy.

From the menu, click Image ->
Adjustments -> Invert

Whoa!! What did I do wrong!

Nothing actually, Invert
just inverted the grayscale
values in the image.

Freaky....

Click the Blending mode (Under the
word Layer from the Layer Window)
from Normal to Color Dodge.

Now what?!?

The image vanished?

Trust me its there. The next step
is maybe the coolest thing it will
do to this image.

From the Filter Menu, click Blur ->
Motion Blur.

See... its still there and whoa...
what an effect.

Just tweak the Angle and Distance
to your desired choice.

So easy right?

Enjoy!!

Gotta have that iPhone!

MacWorld has ended and Apple CEO Steve Jobs did a pretty well presentation on the new iPhone and the future of Apple Inc. (formerly Apple Computers).

I'm regretting buying that Skype Phone.

Anyway, its a widescreen phone, 4Gb goes for $499, 8Gb $599 running both OSX. Shipping will be June for the U.S. and I'm hoping it reach the Philippines shores around the 4th quarter (no problem, I need to save money anyway).

Its an internet browser in your pocket. It has a multi-touch screen to resize windows or photos. Supports widgets (weather and stocks). It has a single HOME button.

And the coolest is when listening to music, when you receive a call, the music slowly fades. It has a light sensor so it knows if you place the iPhone on your ear.

Can't wait, can't wait... gotta save money... hmm... P25,000... save P100 per day, gotta do the math... where's that freaking calculator
